Synopsis

The Untouchable Of Metropolis! Superman, infected by Lex Luthor with Virus X, will die within days. An international team of doctors fails to cure him. Lex Luthor cons Superman's friends out of a million dollars with a phony remedy. Finally, Superman resigns himself to his fate, and boards a rocket which will take him to cremation in Flammbron, the hottest sun in the universe The Kiss Of Death! Linda Danvers's Ichthyology Professor Ms. Vandarr quits her teaching job to get married to Count Durkla. Linda takes a picture before her wedding but it comes out oddly blurry. During the ceremony, Ms. Vandarr unexpectedly dies right while kissing her new husband. As Durkla bursts out in tears, Linda scans Vandarr and finds a strange glowing tatto radiating radioactivity on her arm. Some while later, Supergirl saves a stunt diver called Dorah who has a radioactive tattoo identical to her ex-Professor's. Supergirl gets shocked at learning Dorah's fiancee is Durkla, who is now a colonel. When Dorah dies after kissing him during their wedding, Supergirl decides to investigate. Since both women had jobs connected with water, Supergirl follows that lead and finds another possible tattoo-wearing victim, a gondolier called Jacquella working in an amusement park. Kara convinces Jacquella to take over Prof. Vandarr's former hob. Jacquella accepts, mentioning Vandarr and Dorah were her best friends and their killer is after her, even though she is innocent. Supergirl finds her wording suspicious, but she duplicates her radioactive tattoo, and poses as Jacquella. A few days later, Durkla turns up, posing as an Arabian sheik. Supergirl deduces his ring is a miniature geiger counter to detect the tattoo's radiation, and plays along when Durkla romances her and proposes her. At their wedding day, Kara learns Durkla's murder method isn't poisoned lips but a poisoned needle hidden in the wedding ring. The needle shatters against her skin, but Kara plays dead. Once Durkla has been left alone with her, Kara learns he is an executioner of a water world named Valair, and those three women were raiders and murderers. They were caught, branded with radioactive tatoos to ensure they could be tracked down, and Durkla was appointed their executioner. Unfortunately, the trio broke jail and escaped from Valair, and he has been trailing after them since. Supergirl then reveals her real self and declares she will not let him get Jacquella until she has checked her claim that she is innocent. Durkla protests Jacquella was trialed and sentenced fairly, but Supergirl flies off. Supergirl takes Jacquella, who claims she was framed by her cousin the real Jacquella and she doesn't even know the trio, to the Fortress of Solitude. Supergirl leaves and Jacquella tries to steal a bunch of gems before realizing Supergirl tricked her into showing her true colors. Jacquella tries to run away and falls into a vat of liquid helium. Supergirl brings Jaquella's frozen body to Durkla, stating she became suspicious when Jacquella said she didn't know her partners just days after calling them her best friends
