This Privacy Policy explains how PIM-PRO LLC (“PIM-PRO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use PIM Showcase at showcase.pim-pro.com (the “Service”). It is part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Account details — your first and last name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and your collecting interest (comics, trading cards, or both).
- Collection & want-list data — the comics you catalog and want, including series, issues, variants, grades, condition, purchase prices, and any notes you add.
- Communications — information you send us when you contact support or interact with partner shops through the Service.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage & device data — log information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies — small files used to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as light/dark appearance. See our Cookie Notice.
Information from partner shops: when a PIM-PRO shop pushes a purchased comic to your collection (a “collection transfer”), we receive the details of that item so you can accept or reject it.
2. How We Use Information
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- Provide the Service—cataloging, want lists, market-value estimates, and collection transfers.
- Connect you with partner shops you choose to share your want list with, and notify you when a wanted item is available.
- Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service and prevent abuse.
- Respond to your requests and provide support.
- Improve and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Partner shops — when you choose to share your want list with a shop or accept a collection transfer, we share the relevant information with that shop to provide the feature.
- Service providers — vendors who host our infrastructure, store data, or provide pricing/market data, who may process information only on our behalf and under appropriate obligations.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PIM-PRO, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
4. Market & Pricing Data
The Service displays market-value estimates compiled from third-party data sources. Viewing those estimates does not share your personal collection with the data providers; the values are reference information only. See our Terms of Service for important limitations on these estimates.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain data to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access & update — view and edit your profile and collection from your account settings.
- Delete — delete your account at any time from settings; this removes your collection data as described above.
- Communications — manage notification preferences and opt out of non-essential messages.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection). To exercise them, contact us at admin@pim-pro.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request access to or deletion of your personal information; and to correct inaccurate information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We do not knowingly process the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 for sale or sharing. To make a request, email admin@pim-pro.com; we will verify your request before responding and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashing passwords and restricting access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at admin@pim-pro.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International Users
The Service is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
