Afraid Of The Dark When Metropolis is engulfed in darknes from magic origin, Superman is victimized by a the villain named Nightwolf, who terrorizes the city with the threat of killing the Man of Steel. Learning of this development, Batman investigates Nightwolf's background and learns that the magic powers come from an ancient belt he stole from some Mexican Ruins. Posing as a shaman and using tricks from his Utility Belt, Batman confronts Nightwolf and takes the criminal out of action, retrieving the magic belt and saving Superman in the process. When the Man of Steel recovers, he finds that he has been saved by Batman and he is about to thank his friend, but Batman tells Superman to stop charging into things without thinking. On a rather harsh turn of events, Batman realizes he can no longer work with Superman and each of them go their separate ways.
