Synopsis

The Beginning Of Tomorrow! Batman pursues brothers Damian and Viktor Stone across the rooftops after foiling an attack on a Gotham City gang lord. As he chases them, he notices a band of burglars robbing a liquor store. Using a tracer to track the robbers, he resumes pursuit of the Stone Brothers while the burglars hide in an empty building. The burglars, believing Batman to still be on their trail, cower in fear and argue over their next move. A flashback tells the story of the murder of Doctor and Mrs. Wayne in front of a young Bruce. Enraged by this trauma, Bruce vows to devote his life to crime fighting. He travels the world studying and training, finally joining the FBI. Unhappy with this career, he travels the globe once more, learning many martial arts disciplines, eastern philosophy, and tracking skills. In the present, Batman faces the Stones in combat, subduing and and handcuffing one of them. The remaining brother takes a homeless man hostage, but Batman is able to intimidate him into opening fire in terror. Protected by a bulletproof chest piece, Batman defeats Stone and escapes as the police arrive. Commissioner Gordon smiles at Stone's hysterical remarks as he is arrested. Meanwhile, the burglars have frightened themselves into giving up. They burst out of the building just as Batman returns to apprehend them. Fearing that Batman may kill them and possibly drink their blood, they submit to him and ask that he call the police. Batman returns home to the Batcave, where it is revealed that Alfred, his long-time butler and confidante, has resigned and left the manor. The next night Batman dons his suit to protect Gotham once more.
