Seeing Red Even as the Justice League leaves the meeting of Earth's super-heroes at the Green Lantern Citadel, one of its members, Rocket Red #7, reveals himself as a Manhunter. Trapping Batman, Blue Beetle, Black Canary, and Mr. Miracle inside their ship, the renegade hero sends it hurtling toward a Biyalan oil refinery. Guy Gardner, Booster Gold, and the Martian Manhunter, flying outside the ship, are powerless to save their teammates, but a squad of Rocket Reds, summoned by Oberon, arrives in time to prevent the crash, and the Manhunter Rocket Red is destroyed when he rises from the rubble with a drawn weapon, only to be stymied by Booster Gold's force-field. At the same time, in New York, Maxwell Lord is attacked by a Manhunter posing as his secretary, who is in turn attacked and destroyed by Lord's computer.
