Death Is The Black Racer! * 1st Appearance "BLACK RACER" (William "Willie" Walker) The Black Racer, a sky-skiing harbinger of Death to the people of New Genesis, is Boom Tubed by Metron to Earth. There he stops an Inter-Gang thug from killing Willie Walker, a paraplegic black Viet Nam vet. The Racer merges with Walker's body, giving him mobility, and tracks down and destroys an Apokolips device that would have shorted out all communications devices for thousands of miles. Afterwards, the Black Racer separates from Willie Walker's body and leaves him in his bed, to remerge with him when he is needed.
