Synopsis

The School For Vandals Green Lantern is overwhelmed in a battle with the criminal known as the Whistler and his gang and thrown off a building, but saves himself. The hero's slightly distracted from his own problems when his sidekick Doiby Dickles informs him that Scott's uncle has just died and willed him a prep school. They inspect the school, finding it to have a student body made up of ruffians and dead end kids, and Scott is about to leave again because straightening the place out would take up far too much of his time and energy. As they're loading up the car he hears whistling and investigating it runs into the Whistler again. The crooks escape, but running into them again convinces Green Lantern to run the school for a while after all because the Whistler must have a hideout in the area. In the course of trying and failing to teach the rotten students to respect the law, Doiby discovers a secret cavern under the school that the Whistler's been using to hide out, and the kids at the school are helping him hoping to become bigshot criminals too. Doiby relays this to Scott, who decides to stage an impromptu field trip to the dye plant the gang is planning to rob so Green Lantern can catch the Whistler in the act and show the kids crime doesn't pay. The Whistler's minions are easily defeated but the Whistler himself takes the students hostage as he makes his getaway. Back at his hideout the kids realize there's no honor among thieves and beat up the Whistler.
