The Story Of Matthew Xavier's hologram tells the story of Matthew, the extremely powerful mutant he found using Cerebro many years ago. As a child, Matthew didn't accept Xavier because he was an adult. Matthew had killed his parents and destroyed his home. Xavier was worried that the uncontrollable mutant would make peaceful coexistence impossible, so he approached Matthew using his mental powers to appear as a child and put up a series of psychic blocks to limit Matthew's access to his mutant powers. As the X-Men listen to all of this, they take a break, and in pairs speak cordially, some even acknowledging they miss each other. Xavier goes on to say that he would visit Matthew once a year to make sure the blocks were in place and states that he didn't trust SHIELD or the Avengers or the government to be aware of Matthew. Matthew eventually confronted Xavier and he revealed who he and Matthew were. Matthew asked to have the powers taken from him and to be made to forget what things he had done. Now that Xavier is dead, he asks the Scott and Logan and their strongest psychic to find Matthew to make sure the psychic walls are still in place. The story ends with them being called together for one more mission for Xavier.
