Heavy Metal!
The Super-Adaptoid and Machine Man fly to Texas to round up another ally... infamous Kree Sentry 459 (last seen in Captain Marvel #49). After reviving the alien behemoth, the three robots make tracks to the Midwest to add a fourth powerful robot to their heavy metal horde. But Doctor Druid and the Black Knight arrive at the military base first and scoop up Tess-One. However, during the duo's' flight back to Hydrobase, the Super-Adaptoid, Machine Man, and Sentry 459 attack! The three robots beat the two humans, and add Tess-One to their team. Now the remaining Avengers (plus Marrina) have four mechanical marauders to find! Unfortunately, the Super-Adaptoid makes it all-too-easy for Earth's Mightiest Heroes to locate his cast iron crew. The ferrous foursome invade Hydrobase themselves, setting up the super showdown for next issue...
*Cameo appearance by the Doomsday Man.
