When The Hulk Comes Raging! Hulk reaches Gamma base to rescue the body of deceased Jarella, which is kept intact in a tube in a secret chamber of the base. But the base was waiting for him and unleash all their power against the green brute. When the war seems to be won by the Hulk, Glenn Talbot attacks him wearing the Super-Mandroid armor provided by SHIELD. The Pentagon has now finally granted Talbot permission to kill the Hulk. Although Talbot gets the advantage at first, he succumbs to the increasing power of the Hulk. Captain Marvel, who was in Denver, CO, heard the news about the Hulk's attack of the Gamma base and shows up just in time to halt the Hulk and save Talbot's life. During this issue, Rick Jones and Fred Sloan are invited to the Mike Douglas TV show to talk about the Hulk. Later, Fred reveals to Rick that he's writing a book about his experience with the Hulk and says, "I'd like to get the truth about the Hulk in print... That he's not just a mindless monster!".
